In order to do this, we must create a\u00a0<em>model<\/em>\u00a0within the computer of\u00a0a bank system with representations of\u00a0phenomena and concepts that are relevant for a banking\u00a0domain. The bank accounts are examples of phenomena that we must represent in the model, and we use objects to\u00a0<em>represent<\/em>\u00a0the accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The diagram below illustrates an object that may represent the bank account of John Smith: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"241\" height=\"130\" src=\"https:\/\/oopm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/account_1010.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7689\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Object representing the bank account of John Smith<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The name of the object is <code>account_1010<\/code> &#8211; the paper-based bank account of John Smith has number 1010. The object has three attributes representing information about this bank account. The attribute <code>owner<\/code> represents the name of the owner &#8211; here represented by the string <code>\"John Smith\"<\/code>;  <code>balance<\/code> represents the current balance of the account; <code>interestRate<\/code> represents the current interest rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note that the diagram is not the real object, but a picture of the object. The real object exists&nbsp;as part of the model&nbsp;within the computer.
